    From gentle pasture walks to demanding summit tours – you decide how high you want to go. Guided tours with mountain and ski guide Christoph take you safely onto striking peaks in the region and, if you like, onto real Alpine classics.

    Easy valley loops, first trails or serious elevation gain: with in-house e-bike rental, bike infrastructure and real bike lovers in the team, your bike holiday quickly turns into a string of “best days”.

    From the almlustrock climbing tower right by the house to via ferrata routes and crags in the surrounding mountains – you choose how vertical your stay becomes.

Winter at almlust – ski, board, snow & slow moments

Once the first snowflakes fall, your active holiday in Salzburger Land shifts into winter mode.

    almlust is just a short walk or one ski bus stop from the valley station. With the lifts of Snow Space Salzburg and the wider Ski amadé on your doorstep, hundreds of kilometres of pistes open up – from beginner slopes to sporty runs.

  • Cross-country & winter walking
    Cross-country trails, winter walking paths and snowshoe routes in the wider area let you experience winter at your own pace – quietly, step by step.

  • Skipass service & cosy base
    In winter you can buy ski passes directly at the reception ticket desk. Then it’s simply: out onto the mountain, into the snow – and at the end of the day back into pool, natural pond or sauna.

For us, “active” never means hectic. It means moving your body, filling your lungs with clear air – and having enough time left over for good food, spa time and slow moments in your pyjamas.

FAQ – active holidays at almlust

Who is almlust suitable for as an active base?

For anyone who enjoys being outdoors – from beginners and pleasure-seekers to endurance athletes. With hiking, biking, climbing and winter sports all around, everyone can find a pace and level that feels right.

Do I need a car for my active holiday?

A car can be handy, but it’s not essential. Many activities are within walking distance or can be reached with the local bus, mountain lifts or using the Guest Mobility Ticket. We’re happy to help plan tours that work well without a car.

Can I book activities spontaneously?

Yes. Many things can be organised spontaneously once you’re here – from guided hikes to bike or rafting tours. For very popular highlights or guided mountain tours with Christoph we recommend getting in touch early.

Is almlust suitable for families?

Absolutely. With rooms, apartments and chalets, the natural swim pond, pool and many child-friendly activities in and around Flachau, almlust works wonderfully as a family base for shared adventures.

Can I also just relax at almlust without doing “all the things”?

Definitely. Active holidays here don’t have to be packed. You can just as well spend a day with a book by the pool, a sauna session in the evening and a gentle stroll through the village – and call that a perfect day too.
