The regular check-in time is between 4:00 p.m. and 8:00 p.m. sharp. In case you arrive earlier, we offer Early Check-In options for an additional fee.

What if I arrive after 8:00 p.m.? 

Checking in later is possible upon request. You'll receive a code for self check-in. However, checking in later is not possible without prior arrangement.

When do I need to check out?

Regular check-out is by 10:00 a.m. on the day of your departure.

Yes, depending on availability and for an extra fee:

Your adventure begins just outside the door: A climbing route just over the hotel roof, high ropes course, guided hikes, rafting, canyoning, riverbug, mountain biking and so much more. Whether you are into mountains, water or adrenaline - there is something for everyone who loves a good adventure.

Are there activities for families and teens? 

Yes, one of the most popular options is our Teenager Wildcard which includes climbing, canyoning, riverbug, high ropes course, rafting and rental of mountain bikes as well as e-scooters. This offer is exclusively for 10- to 18-year-olds.

Do I need to prepare anything for the activities? 

Most of the said adventures can be booked directly with us or reserved spontaneously at the reception, depening on availability. We provide everything you need on site - from climbing gear and helmelts to wetsuits. Our guides will make sure you are fully equipped with everything you need, including a little bit of courage if necessary. 

Can I check into my room before 4:00 p.m.?

The regular check-in time is from 4:00 p.m. If you would like to arrive earlier, we offer the following Early Check-In options:

– Early Check-In Light: Between 1:00 p.m. and 2:00 p.m.| 10 € per person

How do I book an Early Check-In?

You can request your Early Check-In during the booking process or contact us in advance - the sooner, the better, as availability is limited.

Our almlust breakfast buffet is the perfect way to start your day, featuring regional specialties, crispy bread, fresh eggs, cereals, fruit, yogurt, ham, salami, cheese and sweat treats. Vegetarian, vegan and gluten-free options are also available - there is certaintly something for every taste.

Do yo offer breakfast for guests with food intolerances? 

Yes. Our kitchen team will happily prepare small specialties that are tailored to your needs - just make sure to let us know well in advance. The earlier we know about your intolerance, the better we can prepare for your stay.

When is breakfast served at almlust?

Our buffet is available daily from 7:30 a.m. to 10:00 a.m. Early risers can also enjoy our Sports Early-Bird Breakfast at 7:00 a.m. - you are very welcome to eat whatever is already served even if the full buffet isn't set up until 7:30 a.m.
 

What if I need breakfast even earlier?

No worries - just let us know by 11:00 a.m. the day before and we'll prepare a breafast package for you in our almlust Icebox. You can take it with you or enjoy it in the lobby. 

Can I have breakfast in my chalet, too?

Yes, Chalet guests can either eat in the breakfast room or have their breakfast delivered to the chalet. Private chalet breakfast is available for an extra fee - perfect for a slow morning on your own terrace.

What is the Guest Mobility Card?

With the almlust Guest Mobility Card, you can use public transportation for free - not just in the Pongau region, but throughout the entire province of Salzburg, including the city of Salzburg. Perfect for day trips, city strolls or sustainable travel by train and bus.

How do I receive the card?

You'll receive the digital guest card automatically at check-in. It's valid from your first vacation day and throughout your entire stay.

Are there any limitations?

The card is valid for regional bus services and trains within the area, but not for cable cars or long-distance trains. You'll get full details upon arrival or directly at the reception.

Are dogs allowed at almlust?

Yes, your furry friend is more than welcome here at our hotel. We charge € 10 per night per dog (food not included). Just let us know in advance that you are bringing your dog with you - we have specific units for guests with pets and others for allergy-sensitive guests. 

Can my dog join me for breakfast?

Dogs are not allowed in the breakfast room, but you are welcome to enjoy your breakfast together in our cozy almlust lobby or on the terrace - both spots are dog-friendly. 

Are there any specific dog rules at the hotel?

Please keep your dog on a leash in the garden area and bear in mind that dogs are not allowed in the wellness and spa area.

Are there walking paths nearby?

Yes, there is a shady riverside trail that runs just behind the hotel along the Enns river - perfect for a relaxing walk. And if you are looking for more tips, just ask our team at the reception.

Does almlust have an indoor pool?

Yes, our indoor pool is open all year round - perfect for relaxing, swimming laps or just floeating your stress away. And if it is raining cats and dogs, no worries - you are covered! 

When is the pool open?

Every day from 7:00 a.m. to 8:00 p.m. You can use the pool whenever you like during these hours - no sign-up needed.

Is there an outdoor area too?

Yes, in addition to the indoor pool, our natural swimming lake (Almsee) and the spacious garden invite you to chill, splash and soak up the sun. It is the perfect mix of wellness and nature, right outside your room. 

Is almlust a good place for teens?

Absolutely! Whether they are looking for action, adventure or just take some time off and chill - teens will certaintly find the perfext mix here. Our on-site climbing course over the rooftop, high ropes course, bike rental, lake and chill-out zone offer freedom and fun. 

Are there special offers for teens?

Yes, the Teenager Wildcard is made just for our guests aged 10 to 18 - an exclusie adventure package including rafting, canyoning, riverbug, climbing, high ropes, mountain bike rental and e-scooter fun. You can book it in advance or grab it when you arrive.

Are teens allowed to join activities on their own?

Many activities are open to kids from 10 or 12 years; however, although they may participate without parents, the consent form still has to be signed by the parents. The front desk or our guides will be happy to give you the full details. 

Is there a climbing course at almlust?

Yes, our own climbing course runs spectacularly over the house roof and connects to the hight ropes course via a flying fox over our Almsee lake. A one-of-a-kind adventure starting right at the hotel.

Who can use the climbing route?

Anyone weighing at least 35 kg can give it a go - from sporty guests to brave teens. All you need is basic fitness and a little bit of courage.

Is there an introduction or guided option?

Before the climbing starts, everyone gets a short but very essential introduction to our modern Click-It safety system. Then it is up you go - no guide needed. Guided tours are available on request.

Can I rent equipment?

Yes, climbing set, helmet and belt are available right here at the hotel. Just ask at the front desk.

Can I stay a bit longer on depature day?

Yes, if you are not ready to leave by 10:00 a.m., you can choose between two late check-out options for an extra free if it is still available and feasible:

Is there a natural swimming pond at Almlust?

Yes – right in the middle of the Almlust garden lies our Almsee. This natural bathing pond is surrounded by wooden decks, loungers, and sun umbrellas – perfect for dipping in, relaxing, or just cooling your feet.

Is the Almsee heated?

No – the Almsee is fed exclusively by fresh spring water and is not heated. But in summer, it’s wonderfully refreshing and a true nature experience right in town.

Who can use the Almsee?

The Almsee is available to all Almlust guests – whether you stay in a room, chalet, or apartment. And the best part: it’s accessible directly from the spa, garden, and chill-out area.

Are there any special rules?

Please be considerate of other guests. Dogs are not allowed in the Almsee, but there are plenty of other spots nearby where they can splash around.

Is there a ski room at Almlust?

Yes – a lockable ski room with direct outdoor access is available for your skis, snowboards, poles, and boots.

Is there a way to dry ski boots?

Yes – our heated ski boot dryers ensure you start the next morning with dry, warm boots.

What if I prefer to leave my equipment right at the slopes?

If you don’t want to use our free ski room, you can rent a ski depot at the lift stations in Flachau for a fee – ideal for extra convenience in the morning.

Is the ski room only accessible in winter?

The room is open seasonally and is used as a bike room in summer – providing plenty of space and secure storage for your gear.

Are there cross-country skiing trails directly at Almlust?

Yes – right outside the door there is a well-prepared cross-country ski trail in winter. So you can simply step out of the house and start skiing immediately.

What routes are available in the area?

Flachau offers an extensive network of trails with classic and skating tracks – from short loops to long day tours, everything is possible. The reception is happy to give you tour tips and trail maps.

Can I book a cross-country ski instructor?

Yes – you can book a cross-country ski instructor directly through us. Whether beginner or advanced, classic or skating – our highly trained guide from the Almlust team will get you on track.

Can I rent equipment?

You can get cross-country skiing equipment from our sports partners in town. We are happy to help you with organization and reservation.

Can I order flowers for a special occasion?

Yes – whether for a birthday, a romantic moment, or simply as a loving gesture: we are happy to organize a fresh bouquet for you.

What do I need to consider when ordering?

Please inform us at least 48 hours before the desired date so we can prepare everything on time. Color, style, or favorite flowers – we will do our best to fulfill your wishes.

Can I have the flowers delivered directly to the room?

Of course – upon request, we will place the bouquet directly in your room, chalet, or apartment. Small extras like a greeting card or chocolates are also available on request.

Is there a Christmas tree in the chalet or apartment during Christmas?

Yes – upon request, we will provide you with a lovingly decorated Christmas tree in your chalet or apartment. This way, your winter holiday will visually become a true festive season.

What is included in the Christmas tree service?

The tree comes fully decorated – with lights, baubles, and everything that belongs. You don’t have to worry about anything and can simply enjoy.

How do I order a Christmas tree?

Please inform us at least 5 days before arrival so we can prepare everything on time. The costs vary depending on the size – we are happy to advise you individually.

What are the reception opening hours?

Our reception is open daily from 8:00 AM to 8:00 PM. During this time, we are personally on site to answer questions, provide tips, or assist with bookings and concerns.

What happens if I arrive late or have to leave early?

For late arrivals, we offer a late check-in with a code – please contact us by 7:00 PM on the day of arrival at the latest. Early departures are possible at any time – preferably with prior arrangement.

Can I get help outside of opening hours?

In emergencies, you can reach us via the emergency number provided at check-in. For all other matters, we will be available to assist you again the next day in person.

What is the Fitstadl in the almlust?

The Fitstadl is our in-house training room – ideal for anyone who wants to stay active even on vacation. It is modernly equipped, functional, and offers plenty of space for your personal workout.

Currently, we do not offer guided classes – in the Fitstadl, you train independently and at your own pace.

Is there an emergency number at almlust?

Yes – for urgent matters outside reception hours, you’ll receive an emergency number upon arrival. This number is available around the clock and is strictly intended for real emergencies.

When should I use the emergency number?

What is “Breakfast at the Rock”?

Breakfast at the Rock is a true almlust experience: you climb our almlust Rock via the in-house via ferrata – and then enjoy an exclusive breakfast at the summit, with a wide view over Flachau and the mountains.

On the 2nd floor of the Adventure Lodge, you’ll find our central Icebox – a large communal fridge with labeled boxes. Here, you can store your perishable food items safely and hygienically. Each accommodation has its assigned box.

All guests with a minimum weight of 35 kg are allowed to participate. Basic fitness and surefootedness are helpful, but no prior experience is needed.

Before starting, you’ll receive an introduction to the Click-it safety system. Afterwards, you complete the course independently – but fully secured. Equipment (helmet, harness, safety system) is provided on-site.

For easier understanding, we sometimes use the term “whirlpool,” but technically it’s a Hot Pot.

Is there a via ferrata directly on the premises?

Yes – our in-house via ferrata leads spectacularly across the roof of almlust. It's an experience for both beginners and advanced climbers, directly connected to the high ropes course.

Who is allowed to use the via ferrata?

Anyone with a minimum weight of 35 kg can participate. A safety briefing on the Click-it belay system is provided beforehand by our team. After that, you climb independently – without a guide – but well secured.

What makes it special?

The via ferrata isn’t just uniquely located – it ends with a flying fox over the almlust lake. A mix of thrill and nature at its best.

Are guided tours available?

Why are there no minibars or refrigerators in the rooms?

In rooms without a kitchen, we’ve deliberately chosen not to install refrigerators or minibars. These devices consume a lot of energy, are short-lived, and often create disturbing noise – which doesn’t fit our sustainability concept.

How can I keep things cool anyway?

All guests have access to the almlust Icebox on the 2nd floor of the Adventure Lodge – a large communal fridge with a dedicated, labeled compartment per room. Perfect for drinks, yogurt, or small snacks.

Where can I find the Icebox?

The Icebox is located on the 2nd floor of the Adventure Lodge – clearly marked and accessible at any time.

Are there rooms with a private fridge?

Yes – if having your own kitchen is important to you, book one of these categories:

Is there another option for snacks?

No – a civil or symbolic ceremony is not permitted outdoors in Flachau.
But: almlust is a wonderful place for romantic days before or after the wedding – such as an engagement weekend, a bachelorette party, honeymoon, or a small celebration with friends.

Can I grill at almlust?

Grilling is exclusively available if you’ve booked a Chalet or the Almloft. There you’ll find either a professional Lakra grill with open flame (Chalet) or an electric grill on the terrace (Almloft). Use is included in your stay – you just need to bring the ingredients.

What is the BBQ Box?

With the almlust BBQ Box, you’ll get everything your grill-loving heart desires – freshly prepared and homemade:

Yes – families with kids feel just as comfortable with us as teens looking for action. You'll find cozy spaces, nature, adventure, and experiences – right outside the door or in the surrounding region.

What’s available for teens?

For ages 10 to 18, we offer the Teenager Wildcard – an adventure package including:

Is there a children’s area?

We don’t have a traditional kids’ club, but there are plenty of places to explore: natural meadows, the Almsee, a stream, hammocks, and quiet corners to play, read, or relax.

Yes – our apartments and chalets are perfect for families. Plenty of space, separate sleeping areas, and optional breakfast in your chalet or self-catering.

What about small children?

Just let us know at booking if you need a crib or baby amenities. We don’t offer a kids' program, but there’s lots of nature to play in freely.

Are there tobogganing options near almlust?

Yes – there are several natural toboggan runs around Flachau. The most popular and exciting: the Sattelbauer toboggan run – illuminated at night and with a cozy hut to stop at.

How does the Sattelbauer run work?

You hike or drive up, enjoy a break at the hut, and then race down into the valley on your own or a rented sled. The run is lit in the evening, making it especially attractive for families and groups.

Where can I get a sled?

You can rent sleds directly at the hut or at one of the sports shops in Flachau. If you need help, just ask at the reception.

Are there other tobogganing options?

Yes – depending on the snow conditions, smaller hills and spontaneous routes appear right in the village. We’ll be happy to give you up-to-date tips for your toboggan adventure when you're here.

Where do the rafting tours start?

Right here with us – the tours begin at the almlust Adventure Camp, located directly on the almlust property. From there, our own shuttle buses take you to the entry point on the Enns River – and bring you back after the tour.

Who can join?

Rafting is open to all swimmers aged 6 and above. The tours are family-friendly but also a blast for adults – with waves, teamwork, and plenty of refreshment.

What do I need to bring?

Just swimwear and a towel. We’ll provide you with a wetsuit, life jacket, helmet, and shoes.

When is rafting available?

The almlust rafting season runs from May 1 to October 15. During this time, we offer regular tours – best to sign up when booking or directly at the reception.

Can I go canyoning directly with you?

Yes – the canyoning tours start right at the almlust Adventure Camp, our base camp located on the almlust grounds. From there, we take our own buses to the gorge – everything is organized and guided by experienced professionals.

What can I expect during canyoning?

You'll move through a natural gorge by climbing, jumping, sliding, and abseiling. Water, rock, and nature become a real adventure – and you're right in the middle of it!

Who is canyoning suitable for?

For sporty swimmers aged 8 and up. You should be sure-footed, enjoy movement, and have no fear of water.

The Riverbug tours start directly at the almlust Adventure Camp. After changing, our team takes you by almlust bus to the Enns river – and of course brings you back afterward.

Who can participate?

Riverbug is ideal for sporty swimmers with a minimum height of 1.45 m. You should be confident in the water, enjoy movement, and have a bit of courage.

What do I need for a tour?

Sturdy shoes, weather-appropriate clothing, and water are usually enough. On request, we’ll prepare an "Aktivjause to go" or you can order a picnic basket.

What is the Stoneman Taurista?

The Stoneman Taurista is a spectacular mountain bike route through the Salzburg Alps – covering 123 kilometers and 4,500 meters of elevation gain over up to three days. It's a true challenge for those who crave endurance, nature, and that unbeatable summit feeling.

Can I start directly from almlust?
